GPSR listing status

GPSR blocks recur when listing fields, labels or documents drift. Treat it as a monthly status check, not a launch task.

Treat GPSR as a status, not a filing

A GPSR pack assembled at launch goes stale. The responsible-person contract expires, the address changes, a new packaging run drops the label line, or a marketplace changes which field it reads. Each drift produces the same outcome: a listing blocked, often without a clear message.

A monthly status check is cheaper than a blocked peak-season listing. Compare the live listing fields, the physical label and the contract against one record, and fix the differences before the marketplace finds them.

The monthly checklist

Check five things: the responsible-person name and address on the live listing, the same details on the product or packaging, the contract's validity, the technical file for every active SKU, and the incident-reporting route. Record the date and the person who checked. When a new SKU or market is added, run the same five checks before the first shipment.

If a listing is blocked, compare the marketplace's stated reason with the record before resubmitting. Repeated resubmissions with the same data usually extend the review rather than fix it.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my listing get blocked again after I fix GPSR?

A different field, SKU or market may still be missing the details, or the marketplace may be reading a stale value. Check the live listing against the label and the contract, not just the field you fixed last time.

How often should I re-check?

Monthly, and before every new SKU, market or packaging run. A change in the responsible-person contract or address also requires an immediate check.

Do I need a separate responsible person for each EU country?

The operator must be established in the EU; the regulation does not require one per member state. Marketplaces and national authorities may ask for market-specific details, so confirm the requirement for each destination.

De minimis thresholds, import tax rates and marketplace fee schedules move more often than most price lists. Leave an address and we will send a short note when one of the tracked markets changes.
