Amazon seller operations

These pages are written for the operator, not the shopper. Each one explains what a metric actually measures, which lever moves it, and where the official definition lives. Numbers that change by marketplace or quarter are described as models, not quoted as permanent rates.

Why operations deserves its own reference

Most seller content explains how to launch. The expensive mistakes happen after launch: a metric crosses a threshold, a listing disappears from search, a fee line is added and nobody updates the price. Operations is the part of the business that compounds quietly in either direction.

Every page here is paired with a calculator or an adjacent playbook. Read the metric, then put your own numbers into the tool. A definition without your data is trivia.

How to read the numbers

Amazon publishes thresholds and fee schedules per marketplace and revises them by notice. This reference describes the structure and the direction of each rule, and links to the official page where the current number lives. When a page gives a range, treat it as a planning band rather than a quote.

Nothing here is legal, tax or customs advice. Where a rule can suspend an account or trigger a penalty, verify it in Seller Central before you act.

Tell me when the rules change

De minimis thresholds, import tax rates and marketplace fee schedules move more often than most price lists. Leave an address and we will send a short note when one of the tracked markets changes.
